About Flash

FLASH is a professional development program created to build teachers’ confidence and creativity in using multimedia tools for English language instruction. Through a series of interactive, hands-on training sessions, participants explored how mobile learning, open-source resources, storytelling, music, video, podcasts, performance, and other digital tools can enrich the English classroom.

The program emphasized student-centered design, communication, engagement, and real-world language use, supporting teachers in creating practical, classroom-ready materials and developing strategies for meaningful multimedia integration.

Below, you’ll find the PowerPoint training materials for the 14 FLASH topics. These resources can be reviewed for individual professional development or used as a foundation for leading trainings with colleagues.

All materials are Open Educational Resources (OER)—free to use, share, adapt, and repurpose. When possible, please credit the International Women’s Resource Center (IWRC) and the Regional English Language Office (RELO).
